Nathan Vos is a journalist, currently as editor-in-chief of Zin Magazine. After he lost his brother – a seemingly happy young father – to suicide in 2015, Nathan decided to find out how it’s possible that so many men take their lives. He interviewed 11 widows of men like his brother, and asked science, art, society, other men and himself where the pain and where the relief is. This resulted in the critically acclaimed book Man O Man, realized fall 2017. The main thesis: most men think they are not good enough and this can eat them up from inside. The salvation might be found in asking the right questions, in time, and in a manly way. In addition to this project, award winning documentary maker Frans Bromet filmed Man in de Knoop, which aired last September.
