THE TEDxFRYSLÂN 2017 THEME

During the Heerenveen event we will be exploring the malleability of reality together.
Everything starts with inspiration, and recognition can only be accomplished by actually doing things. Our Heerenveen speakers are people with inspiring ideas. Sometimes a little rebellious, sometimes modest. Sometimes large and impressive, sometimes small and touching the heart. Sometimes already a bit more concretely formed, sometimes still in need of some help. Together with the audience we want to take these ideas further. Because whatever they are, they put reality up for debate, from the perspective that the world (Friesland) will change and be improved, if and when they are implemented. The TEDxFryslân 2017 theme describes the starting point of this joint trip.
Therefore our ambition is:

TO DARE REALITY

The 2016 TEDxFryslân theme was ‘All about me’. Sounds egocentric? Not quite! When you know what makes you tick, you also know how to contribute to the bigger picture. All about me is all about you, is all about us!

During this year’s edition of TEDxFryslân people discovered all about Identity (values and dreams), Confrontations (human to human), Innovations (technology and tools) and Images of the Future (visions).

A lot of industry remains located in the former peat area. An area where working hard is key. But we all know that working hard alone does not make a person happy. Human beings also need to play hard and unwind when necessary. Inspiration, connection, and being together. The key is to Work Hard and Play Hard.
